Check Check Checkity Check!

Juuuuust kidding.

But there is some white stuff on the ground right now and I'm all "What the shiit is this?!" If I hadn't driven 3 hours to go skiing last weekend I might not have remembered.  It was only a few inches, and my run was very short because of it being everywhere and icy (no side walks and I'm boxed in by the ocean and a busy RT that had snow on the sidewalks.)  I am still so excited.

THANK YOU FAWN for sending me all this snow.

Did anyone else get snow last night or even school cancelled in you area?

Re: Check Check Checkity Check!

  • Can someone send me some snow? The high today is 54 and tomorrow's going to be 70!!!!!!!!!! If it's not going to be warm all the time, I'd at least like some consistant winter weather so when it is cold it doesn't come as such a shock.
  • haha! I saw the thread title and I was like, Meg knows about the daily checks thread!

    Enjoy the snow!

<div>Thanks!  I thought it was even funnier because I think the only time I posted a WR thread it was about cake.  I like cake.  Nothing else excites me.</div><div>

  • I got snow! :)  We're getting more tomorrow too.
  • Kelsey- You can have our snow and cold weather! It has been nasty cold all week and now we are supposed to get 7 inches of snow throughout the day. It should make for an interesting drive home!

  • It snowed here last night, and more is supposed to be coming this weekend. I hate driving in it!

  • We got a few inches of light and fluffy snow. My son was not very happy that I woke him up early to help me shovel. Ha ha ha. What an evil mama.

We are supposed to be getting another 3-6 inches tomorrow, which may totally ruin my plans. My aunt who is a BM may have to plow so she might not be able to make our girls lunch and meeting with the cake baker tomorrow. I might have to reschedule, but I've been looking forward to tomorrow for a few weeks now :(

  • We're supposed to get some tonight, like an inch. Whooo hoooo. In Delaware if it snows people panick; if it wasn't winter session (and tomorrow wasn't Saturday) they'd probably close the university by now.

  • We got almost two inches, causing a 2 hour delay this morning at my school...I'm not too far from you though.

  • It is freezing cold here and we have about 4 inches of snow, with 5-8 inches coming over the weekend! I'm kind of already sick of it. Especially scrapping off the snow on my car EVERY. SINGLE. MORNING.

  • We got snow too (obviously...same area...) and schools weren't cancelled or delayed which is fine except they don't plow the freaking streets!  My street wasn't plowed great but the main roads were fine until I got to the street my school was on and it wasn't plowed AT ALL.  Neither was the parking lot in my school.  You'd think schools would be among the top priority...

<div>Same with ours!  When I was leaving work, I realized that my car wasn't actually in the parking spot...would have been nice to see where I was parking in the AM!</div>

  • I'm getting snow now.  Anyone who wants it can take it...  and please do!

Really?! Are you really expecting us Northerners to have some sympathy for you? LOL Or are you really trying to rub it in?!

We finally got some real snow here in Michigan. It was so cold today. My car died on me on the way into work. I was freezing while stuck on the expressway it was awful! Luckily my car started back up and I was able to make it into work.
  • We got snow here earlier this week, nothing now but lots of rain. To the point of massive flooding. the governer declared state of emergency yesterday in our neighboring county. Today the willamette river (2 1/2 blocks from my house) has already risen above flooding level and it's not supposed to stop raining until next thurs. Hopefully it stops soon.
