Nevada-Las Vegas

Urgent - Please Help

My fiance and I are planning to go to Las Vegas to get married in May. We both are not American, but we always like to make our relationship official in LV.
Here is the questions, what we want is just some one there for us to sign the certificate, announce us that we become husband and wife. We do not want to have any traditional wedding ceremony because both of us will fly to Europe (where he comes from) and Asia (my home) to have a wedding ceremony.
What can I do in this case ?
Please help us.

Thank you very very much.

The Clark County Office of Civil Marriages will marry you.  So your steps would be:

    1) Complete the pre-registration 60 days in advance:

    http://www.clarkcountynv.gov/Depts/clerk/Pages/PreApp.aspx

    2) Call 702-671-0577 and set up an appointment to appear at:

    http://www.clarkcountynv.gov/depts/clerk/services/pages/civilmarriages.aspx

Note: when you go, you MUST bring your own witness, they will marry you but will not provide a witness.  Bring $50 USD cash too.

    3) Once you get to Las Vegas, pick up your marrige license at:

    Marriage License Bureau
    201 E Clark Ave.
    Las Vegas, NV 89155

Note: bring $60 USD cash and try to not go on a Friday or Saturday if possible, or it you have to, go in the morning.

    4) Get marriaed at the place mentioned in step 2 at your appointment time.

    5) Fly home and have a party.  Note, I said party because you are already married, you can't have a wedding unless you get divorced first and then marry again.

Thank you so very much ! I really appreciate your reply. One more question, I saw there have a lot of package like 'Elvis" and so on , what is that about ? If i want to do that more 'fun' , for example, some one will sing or play the guitar when we sign the certificate, what should I do ? Again thank you very much :)
  • If you want to do that, eliminate steps 2 and 4, you'll only need to pre-order your marriage license and pick it up when you get there.  Then you take that to one of the numerous wedding chapels in Vegas and have them perform an Elvis ceremony.  The one I would recommend is:

    http://www.theelvisweddingchapel.com/elvisimpersonators.html

For that, you would not need to provide the witness, they will if you need them to.

Thank you again. Elvis was just an example that i mentioned. Besides Elvis theme, do you have any other recommendation ?
    Thanks thanks :)
  • In Vegas you can probably find a wedding chapel to do anything you can imagine, but Elvis weddings are by far the most popular theme wedding.

Thank you. So you mentioned the 'pre-order' , what does it means ? thank you.
  • If you go to the marriage license office and just ask for a license, it will take you about two hours. If you pre-order it on their website, it can take as little as five minutes.

Thank you. So let me confirm again , before 2 months, i should go to the website and pre register. Then when we go to LV , I should go pick up the certificate then headed to the wedding chapel ?

    Thanks again :)
