  If you eventually will be moving back into a home, and have a storage unit already, I don't see a problem in registering for more traditional registry items - new sheets, towels, dinnerware, flatware, drinking glasses, etc. Add some decor items, too, since you'll be starting fresh.

  I agree with PP.  If you don't plan on staying with the company after you get married, then you'll want to have the stuff for a house.  And especially the decor stuff since you'll probably be starting from scratch with decorations.  If you already have the storage unit, it's not going to hurt to keep the stuff you register for in there until you use it.

  As far as a suggestion for little things goes, I'm a big fan of NICE utensils - I don't know about you but whenever I need a new slotted spoon I usually cheap out and buy the least expensive one that Target or whoever carries.  We are getting some silicone-ended utensils so they don't ding up our new cookware (and FI has made me promise to buy them with the discounts post-wedding if we don't get them, lol).

  
  

  Also check out stores like Williams sonoma and crate & barrel - they have some great little gadgets.

  
  

  Another nice mid-ranged gift is good bakeware.  WS's goldtouch line is A-M-A-Z-I-N-G.  I like it because it's nonstick but it's gold so it eliminates the need for both dark and light pans.  My mother, for instance, has full sets in both light and dark colors, and I'm probably going to start switching her over to goldtouch via christmas/birthday gifts so that she can streamline her baking.

  
  

  Ditto PPs about towels and sheets and things - if you're starting over, take this as an opportunity to redecorate, change the color scheme, etc.  Personally, I love to get online at pottery barn and drool over their bedding and bath options - very good quality and lovely!

  My fiance and I are in the same boat!! My hubby to be is a project manager for a construction comapny and we travel all over the US(in a fifth wheel) so we weren't going to register for anything but a honeymoon fund..
