George Street Photo - Boston Area

Has anyone in the Boston area used George Street Photo?  They have competitive photography packages and have great reviews, but all are from Chicago-area weddings.  Reviews from anyone who may have used them for a Boston-area wedding would be much appreciated.

Re: George Street Photo - Boston Area

  • I'm meeting with them in a couple weeks, so I would like to know what the Boston ladies think.
  • They just expanded to Boston. I only know this because one of my friends contracts with them just to make some extra $$.  I don't know what their package prices are like, but I can tell you they don't pay their photographers a whole lot.   He's a good photographer, but doesn't do it full time, it's just something that he really enjoys doing.  He's done a couple weddings for friends.  But with George Street, he doesn't have to do the editing, so it works for him time wise.

Things I find strange about it, is he doesn't meet the couple until the engagement session if their is one or the wedding day.  I can't even imagine not meeting the person that is going to be responsible for capturing my day until the day of.  What if we didn't get along?  would like to know before I put out all that money.  That being said, would suggest going with a photographer that owns their own buisness.  Then you can get to know them and their unique style.

Did you end up using George Street? I just had a meeting with them & am still toying with the idea. I would feel much more comfortable with someone elses personal feedback! Would love to hear back either way! Thanks!
