Song for grooms to come out to - alternative to the tradional

Hey girls, was looking for some ideas on what the grooms could come out to.   I want our wedding to be beautiful, yet fun.  I am walking down the isle to Marry Me.  My fiance' said something about the guys coming out to "Sharp Dressed Man".   I'm not sure I love that idea.  Was trying to think of something else the guys could do to make it a little more fun & different.  Any ideas?  Song ideas?   Thanks! • At the end of the ceremony, we walked back down together to "Wonderful World" by Sam Cooke, which was a really fun one.  We also considered "All You Need is Love" by the Beatles.  "Get Ready" by the Temptations could be fun too.

If you're looking for something more formal, the Royal Philharmonic Orchestra has the Alternative Classical Chillout Album, which has some instrumental re-makes of groups like Red Hot Chili Peppers or U2, so that might be worth checking out.

What kind of music do you and FI like?  Pop, R&B, soul, country?

  • I think it’s a cute idea.  I like his song pick.

My FH picked "I Can't Wait" by Runner Runner.  He has a long way "down the aisle" (descending via glass elevator), so it would have been awkward to have silence.

  • We like all kinds of music!  :)   We want a fun and different way to come out and wanted to do something different instead of the guys walking out quietly.  :)  BUT I don't want it to be tacky and stupid either!  Tongue out
  • Maybe you could find an instrumental version of his song choice.  Then it's a little bit more tame and not too cheesy, but I'm sure there will be plenty of people who pick up on it. : )

THIS is awesome! My FI heard this song sitting in "our" restaurant one night and texted me the name of it and just said, go listen to this. So this would be great to have playing while he walked up to the altar at our wedding!!

  • You could do the Indiana Jones theme or the Star Wars theme.

  • We're having a solo acoustic guitar for our ceremony, so our song choices are somewhat limited, but I was pretty happy with "Follow you follow me" by Genesis for the groom/wedding party to walk out to.
  • Maybe if you had an instrumental version of the song without any lyrics?  For those who know the song, they'd get the cute pun.  For those that don't, it doesn't seem tacky.
