The Madison Hotel?

Has anyone had their wedding/reception here? How was your experience? I'm thinking about having the ceremony in the conservatory and the reception in the ballroom. Thanks!

You need a minimum of 150 ppl to do that, which we didnt have.

I attended a wedding there as a guest.  Ceremony and reception in the conservatory, cocktails in another room.

I thought the food to be great, the space was beautiful, the staff was pleasant and helpful, and the hotel was reasonably priced for out of town guests.  Dessert tables were available in another room and it didn't seem like those lines moved as fast as they could've, but that's a snall nit for an evening that was otherwise very beautiful.

I don't think this wedding was as large as 150 guests, but it was also during the winter so maybe they relax that requirement based on the popularity of your date.

BTW, be careful considering your photographer if you go with the conservatory.  Our photographer (Robert Wayne Photography) has worked there and he talked about the special techniques that it requires.  At night during the reception, all of those glass walls and ceilings become a big mirror making flash very challenging.  You'll want to make sure your photographer knows how to deal with that.

That was one of our runner-ups, when we left from meeting with the guy within a half hour we had a call from the manager lowering the price pp by $15! So dont pay what they ask you at first, which Im sure you know.  Why we didnt go with them was the conservatory was just too small  (not a prob. for you since you are using ballroom) and their menu only included fish and chicken, beef was extra. Same with the cocktail hour, seafood was extra, which for that price we felt it all should be included.   We didnt care for the older man that showed us around, he was not helpful and didnt want that at our wedding.  We got all the seafood/beef included at our venue, also a hotel which is what we wanted and like the maitre d much better at The Grand Summit Hotel.  Good luck!
