Very tall girl, average guy

I'm 6ft2 & my man is only 5ft9. Even in flats I've got 5in on him. My size 11 feet look outlandish in flats... So I'm usually 6-8in taller in a dressy outfit.

Has anyone ever seen/know where to find good photograph ideas engagement/wedding that don't look completely foolish? I really don't want to have exclusively seated photos or ones where we are each disappearing off one end of the frame :/

A friend of mine had the same problem.  She took some photos on steps.  That way she was standing on the ground and her husband was on the first step.

Ooooooo smart solution for the formal portraits, I guess ceremony & reception shots we'll just have to be accepting :)

Talk with your photographer about it. They might have some ideas on how to creatively frame the shots, or shoot from different angles that might help.

I am 5"5' and FI is just 5"8'. I'll be wearing cowboy boots with a short heel.... We joked about having him on a stool for pictures and ceremony, but that's not him. He's not that much taller than me - so we both agreed it would look more awkward to have him appear so much taller when he actually is not. But that's just us... We might add something for him to stand on as a joke, but definitely not to prevent pictures looking "odd".

I don't at all mind that I'm taller than him, nor does he. However, it will make some of the traditional pictures challenging... I can just picture me gazing down only bouquet... But instead of him also gazing down over my shoulder (classic) he'll be on tip-top going "let me see, let me see" Eek!

Also request Depth of Field Shots, where you're positioned farther from him in a shot.  The height difference won't be noticed.  Also for portrait style, a bend of the knees and a butterfly kiss shot with some great lighting would be cute.

I think you should embrace your height difference. I am 6'0 and my FI is about 5'10. Which isn't really a huge difference but then again, it is. At first when we first started dating, it bothered me. But we've been together for over 5 years now and it's just who we are. I'm not worried at all about pics. Yes, I am wearing flats but it's not like you're going to see them anyways.

your guy could wear lifts if it's important to you.  that would help with the height difference.  also... consider a hairstyle and veil that doesn't add additional height. i wore flats too.  no one sees your feet under the dress, and way more comfy than bridal shoes.

during your wedding photos... even if you bend your knees don't slouch!
for potential shots that you won't notice height difference...
    him picking you up
    him on one knee
    nose to nose close-up
    him smelling your bouquet
you backbend and him kiss (and support you)

Who cares, and who ever said the guy has to be taller to look right? You fell in love with him, despite his height. The photos should be true to who you are, not what looks foolish or not :)
