Need Help! Lots!

So I'm just starting my wedding planning, my FI and I went to bridal show where we found a one-stop-wedding-shop "Global Events and Imports." Everything as going well, until i need my FI to call and reschedule an appointment we had. He went online and googled the name of the business and he freaked.  There was this horrible review that was exactly to the tee the names or the employees and it was just a nightmare what they went through.  My FI refuses to do any business with them and we lost a $500 deposit.  Now we need a FLORIST, PHOTOGRAPHER, VIDEOGRAPHER, DECORATOR, LIMO, CAKE, pretty much everything.  We were almost done but i guess it was better knowing now then on the day.  Does anyone have any referrals?? please let me know

    Limo: we didn't end up going with them because a friend offered us his spiffy car, but my best friend had referred me to http://www.limolinkcanada.com/

    Our florist is based in Scarborough - Cheryl at Audrey's Flowers - it's a small place but she did great work.

    We used Erin Mills Limo, based in Mississauga - by far the best price we had.

    Cake we used "The Cake and Sweet Designer" - Daniela - such a cute cake.

    Decor we used "Fantastik Trading" - it's in Mississauga - don't be fooled by the cluttered showroom - Fanny did a really good job!

    Our photographer was Joni Allardyce - she did an incredible job!

    Our wedding was downtown Toronto and all vendors travelled to us, no problem.  For links and reviews you can check out the planning bio, and there are pro pics on the married bio.  Hope that helps!

    Ohh, sorry to hear.  I really wish you had come on here beforehand, I could have told you they were a disaster company!  So many BBB complaints and so many lost deposits.

    Are you right in Toronto?  Location might help with referrals.  I am in Burlington, so mine are mostly in the west GTA:

    wow... sorry to hear that.  Don't worry... lot's of great vendors out there...

    We are using Pink Twig for our flowers.  Tanya who runs the shop is super sweet.  www.pinktwig.ca Our photographers are www.bluesixcreative.com and they are also really great and were really flexible with us and got us in within our budget.  For Decor... not sure but thinking about using FOS Design.  Can't afford Video but we like Studio67 and Norris Films.  Wish we could afford Still Motion.

    But I ten times over reccomend him he's UNBELIEVABLE!!!
