Madeleine's Daughter alterations

Hi everyone! I recently purchased my dress at Madeleine's Daughter in Portsmouth. It's a Jenny Yoo dress ("Mira") and it fits almost perfectly. I don't think it needs to be taken in around the bust, but it's strapless so I'm thinking I might want to have boning put in to help keep it up. It also needs to be hemmed and I'm exploring the possibility of a bustle.

My question is; for anyone who has had alterations done at MD, what should I expect as a rough ballpark figure for cost? I have no idea what to budget for it, and I just feel more comfortable having them do the alterations rather than taking it elsewhere.

    I just got my dress there as well and I was told to expect to pay around $300 for taking my dress in and getting a bustle put in.  Not sure how much it would cost to have boning put in...I did end up finding a cheaper place to go for my alterations, but the real reason I didn't go with MD was because it is about two hours from where I will be living by the time the dress comes in.  Best thing to do though is to meet with the seamstress and tell her what you want done and then see how much it will cost.  If it sounds like too much, explore other options.  Good luck!

    I spent around $400 for alterations at MD, but I had it taken in (a lot), hemmed, bustled and made it into a sweetheart neckline.

    I think mine were about $400 as well.  I think I could have gotten a better deal elsewhere for what was done.  I also think they cut my gown too short, but there was nothing that could be done at that point other than change shoes.
