Young Brides - Houston?

Hi!
My name is Alissa and my fiancé and I will be getting married in Houston in July 2012. I was wondering if there are any other young brides out there doing the majority of their wedding planning alone. I am only 20 years old and trying to do a wedding for 100 under 10k if possible. My dad and I are going to try to split the cost so neither of us have to go into debt for it..  :) My fiancé is Icelandic and so his family will be flying in for the wedding. We think we will most likely just have everyone over for the week of the wedding so that we are all in one central location! I am really excited but also overwhelmed! I hope there are others out there feeling the same way!

    I'm 21 and doing a wedding for 100 for under $10k! FI and I are paying for our wedding by ourselves, though.

    I just turned 22 and I am planning everything essentially on my own. This forum will be a great resource as you plan. These ladies have helped me a bunch and I know they will do the same for you.
    And now we are as one

    I'm also 20 and my FI and I will be getting married in April 2012! You should check out the DIY board if you haven't already. I'm doing alot of projects on my own to keep the cost of our wedding at minimum and the ladies on the DIY board have so many great ideas! They are so very helpful!
    Are you going to the Bridal Show at the GRB Center this weekend? Tickets are pretty decently priced and there's lots of prizes to win that can really help out with wedding costs.

    I'm 23 and planning a wedding for 200 under 6,000. It's a miracle honestly. I would go to the bridal extravaganza if you have time. Take advantage of this website, this can be your most valuable asset. Good luck

    Hi, I'm 22 and just the same as the previous ladies I am planning my wedding on my own. October 8, 2011 this is my second date and I am all the way in Key West FL. This forum and ladies have been very helful to me. Though I am still confused, I belive I will be able to pull it off.

    Even you 25 and 26 year olds are young to me!  I'll be 30 this year!

    I'm 23, I thought I was young but it looks common from this post. Good luck planning and the bridal extravagnaza really helped me out with alot of ideas. Especially if you are a DIY bride.

    I'm 20 also and I'm getting married in July. I have managed to go so far with out spending a pretty penny. I recommend printing your own invitations. Michaels had a lot of pretty ones, and you save a ton of money right there!
