Dance lessons?

How long before the big day did you guys start taking lessons or suggest someone start taking lessons?  

My FI and I purchased some classes, but I didn't realize they'd want us to go like twice a week every week... which is making me realize it's a lot pricer than I expected... and now we're waiting until it's close to the wedding... but not sure how long to wait... Thanks!!

    We started about 2 months out and went once a week,.. maybe even every other week.  Don't let them pressure you into any more than that.  Unless you are turning your wedding into a Dancing With The Stars... 4-6 classes should be just fine.  We got a living social deal for 4 classes, then went back for 2 more because it was fun (and b/c DH loves Dino BBQ which was right across the street).
