Hi Everyone!
I have my makeup consult tomorrow and FI and I have our engagement session! I have read so many different things about who to tip and who not to tip and a lot of them I don't agree with! Like I read that you shouldn't tip your hairdresser if they come to you but you should tip if you go to a salon (I would tip my hairdresser either way - especially where they are coming to me because they are losing a whole day of business!).

Anyway my question to you ladies is should I tip the makeup artist when I get my consult? Also have any of you had your E-session? I'm getting so excited/nervous! TIA!

    We have our e-session on the 23rd this month! I'm so excited about it! I'm getting my make-up done by (hopefully) the girl that will do it for the wedding as well, so I guess it could considered a trial.  She does airbrush make-up and I've never had that done so I'm excited.  She charges $65 for e-sessions so I figured I'd just be handing her a check for $75.

    I went with what I thought was appropriate and tipped my makeup artist 20%. I also booked her for the day of my wedding. So that's another thing crossed off my list!

    Our engagement session went well. FI hates getting his picture taken so it took a little while for him to be comfortable. Our photographers have more of a photojournalistic approach so it was a little weird because they wanted us to do what is natural and look at each other and talk to each other. they said do what you normally would do - FI joked that if they wanted to catch us doing what we would normally be doing they should have come to our house where they would see us sitting in the living room - he would be watching the red sox and I would be sitting on TK planning our wedding haha. We stared at each other, smiled, and kissed enough to last us for a few weeks but I can't wait to get the pictures back!
