Does anyone have suggestions for rehearsal dinner venues in Philadelphia?

  • Price point?  BYOB?  What kind of food or are you open?

Any section of philadelphia is fine. It will be around 36 guests and 11 are children.Would like new american, italian or latin and must be open bar. We are open to BYOB if it is a nice restaurant. Looking to spend around 2,500.

  • Maggiano's is good, family style italian food. They are used to large crowds also. There's a location in center city.

  • We're having ours at Bridget Foys on 2nd and South (at the end of Headhouse Square).  They have a few different private party spaces, both including private bar areas.  Open bar options (that are pretty affordable) and different options for food ---from sit down to buffet style.  I'm fairly certain it would be within your budget, esp since the 11 kids would likely be cheaper than the 25 drinking adults.  Their website is pretty comprehensive in terms of pricing - bridgetfoys.com/private parties.

Also, Steven Starr's Tangerine is all private parties now.  I think their packages start around $60/pp, which seems like might be within your budget.  Not sure if they have special kids menus or not.
