Bach Party

Normally I'm asking questions about being a bride, but I am in a wedding for a great friend of mine in June. We are trying to plan her bachelorette party but aren't coming up with anything special. We need to stay in Maine (most of us are from portland, but can go anywhere in the area really). We will probably do dinner and drinks but we were hoping to come up with something else different and fun. (no strippers, no pole dancing classes, etc.).

Any ideas ?! :]

    A spa weekend, or a slumber party is always an inexpenisve and fun thing to do.

    I went to a bachelorette party in Portland a couple of years ago. I don't remember the name of the bar - but they had a mechanical bull.

    The are small schooners that leave the portland area for an afternoon trip. you can bring a picnic lunch, have champagne and just chat it up like you did when you were all 16 :)

    One suggestion-make sure the captain doesnt smoke if that kind of thing bothers you. Nothing worse than being on a boat for several hours with someone who wants to choke you.
