Maudsley State Park

Hi ladies!

I am in the beginning stages of planning my wedding and have recently came upon Maudsley State Park in Newburyport. I was wondering if anyone knows anything about getting married there. It looks beautiful!
Do you have any other outdoor wedding suggestions??

Thanks in advance :)

I know that you have to get a permit to get married there which I believe is just under 20 bucks. It's a beautiful location to get married in and they do have a space for you to use for a reception BUT you have to rent everything from top to bottom...tables, chairs, utensils etc. But you can choose to just have your ceremony there.

We went to a wedding there a couple of years ago (colleagues of my now FI so I don't know them that well), in the vegetable patch (which is an amazing sort of hidden meadow) - was great. I think you have to bring your own caterers.

My only concern would be if the weather was bad - I think you have to have your reception in a sort of barn. But if the weather's good it's a STUNNING location.
