Myrtle Beach Venues

Help ladies! I'm looking for a reception venue that will allow outside caterers and alcohol for April 2011. We're on a super tight budget as we're already married but due to his deployment we were not able to have our "proper" wedding celebration and this girl just wants to wear her white dress and have a small celebration without breaking our bank, you know?

I'm also in need of a photographer who will work with our tiny budget. Thanks in advance!!

Check with some of the hotels and inns on the beach.  I know they have wedding packages that could be affordable.

Are you having another ceremony or just the reception?  If you're having a ceremony, we're using The Seaside Wedding Chapel in North Myrtle Beach on 17.  They're really nice and they do ceremonies in different places and they have receptions to depending on how many people you'll be having attend.

They include a photographer, music, and some have a reception and they're a little on the high side, but you maybe able to afford.  I can't because FI is the only one working and we're paying for everything ourselves.

Let me know if I can help you out.  I'm actually going to Myrtle in three weeks to go and meet the officiant.  If you'd like to check them out their website is www.seasideweddingchapel.com

Hope this helps you out.  Goodluck with finding what you're looking for.

You should check the Cooper House.  It is in Mrytle Beach.  It is not a beach venue. they are very affordable and they allow outside catering and spirits. They will also cater your food.  The staff is excellent.  This is a great place to have a wedding and you will not break the bank in the process.  www.thecooperhouse.net. If that is not the right website, just google it.

As far as photographer, I am looking for one myself.

Oh and check out eljphotography for a photographer. Also, maybe call around to some places and see if they have interns or something that will take your pics for a cheaper price to help build their portfolio.

I like the idea that VIctoria has about the photographer maybe having interns to help you out.

My wedding ceremony is only $285 to get married on the beach and to have a photographer included.  Yes you're limited on prints to 30, but you can purchase as many photos as you'd like.  The 30 pics that you do get are on cd see you can print as many copies as you'd like.

The $285 includes the location of the beach ceremony, the photographer, the officiant, music, and a few other things.  You may or may not want all of the things included.  If you opted to do that, it's inexpensive and you have that much more to spend on another reception venue.

The Cooper House I totally forgot about them.  They have a nice place and I had checked them out when I had first started looking at places for my wedding.  Then we opted to elope.  LOL!!!  Now we're just having his family and my boys at the wedding.

Goodluck and I hope you find something soon!!!!

Check out the Peanut Warehouse in Conway if you want something unique and rustic, also there is CB berry nature center and the Atalaya... all will allow outside goodies

as far as the seaside wedding chappel and places like that that include all-in-one, you have to be careful! they do provide photography, but they use a basic digital camera... youre better off asking uncle joe to take some, they will turn out the same. its nothing fancy, its more like a myrtle beach vegas wedding, cheap, simple and fast... if youre looking for more memerable experience, then Id keep looking

Thanks so far girls! I'm going to look into all the suggestions!

I'm not opposed to using the onsite catering - what I've found so far the places require a minimum $$ amount for food and beverage and that's what is throwing things way outside the budget.

As far as photography budget - I'd rather not skip out there. The pictures are my main concern and those are priceless.

I know my place is out there!  Thanks again!

There are quite a few places you could look at in Conway.. There is a very charming B&B called the cypress inn and its right on the river so it is very beautiful. Also Jerry Cox has some very nice venues on the river in Conway esp the The New Sidewheeler which is super nice.  Also I don't know what your budget is but a couple place you could look at are the Holiday Inn Oceanfront in Surfside, Capt Daves Dockside in Murrells, and Inlet Affairs in murrells inlet.. PM me if you have any questions  about venues or vendors here.

Also on Photography call Horry Georgetown Tech College and see if they have anybody in their photography program that would want to do it for inexpensivly so they can put it in their portflolio.

      Good Luck

I am getting married at a house on the beach in the backyard and having the reception and everything right there. There are a ton of houses you can use as options and that way you can provide everything through separate vendors which saves a ton of cash!

If you want to explore some more options, I wrote a blog about some really great places in Myrtle Beach to get married. Some are on the pricey side but there are some other neat options too!
