Good Morning...

This is the super early version of an SB morning thread...it isn't even 5am here yet! Our friend will be here at quarter past to pick us up and take us to the train, so really this is a P&R. We leave for Montreal today for a few days. Not sure how much internet access we will have when I am there so if I am not able to get online...Merry Christmas/Happy Holidays/Happy Winter Solstice to all. I am praying for a non-drama filled trip home with as little stress as is possible. If I get that, then my Christmas miracle will have come true! Have a great rest of the work week ladies...don't work too hard!

Can't sleep.... feel like crap, one of my clients made me sick on Monday, so now I am really sick.
OP have fun in Montreal, have always wanted to go there.
Hope all has a good day.
I so do not want to go to work today, but Today is the client holiday party so its fun to see thier happy faces at their party, though I just want to stay in bed all day.

Good morning!

Number - I hope you have a safe and fun trip

I'm pretty excited that there's only two more days of work left until my super awesome 5 day weekend.

My e-ring was at the jeweler for 2 weeks (one of the stones popped out) and I got it back yesterday. It feels a little weird wearing it after not having it on for a while. Also, it kind of puts my wedding band to shame because they shined it up real good.

I have one more gift to buy and then I'm officially done christmas shopping. Woot!

Safe travels, Number. Sorry you are sick Kate that sucks Christmas week. Jen, I envy you your five day. I am actually pretty busy at work through the 6th of January. I may well take the 7th and 10th off though because my calendar looks like I could actually do that.

I am one of those up-early crazy people too. I was out of bed at 3:45 because DH, per usual was up at 3:00. You know, the more I think about it I kind of hope he DOES end up in early retirement this year! I want his time more than I want fancy vacations and shopping at will.

Tim was on a job a couple of years ago that was two hours away, and it was a ten hour night shift with Sunday being his only day off. For six months we saw each other for an hour in the morning and a few hours on Sunday. Never again.

H had to work early this morning so I'm sitting here drinking coffee and watching the news. The bosses told us last week we'd have a holiday party today. It's a lunch party, but I'm kind of hoping it'll last through the end of my day.

I'm also hoping we get AYG started a bit early today so I can participate.

Morning everyone. Travel safely Number and enjoy the holidays! I tried to catch up on the long posts from last night but gave up.

I went to bed early last night and am still exhausted. I don't get it and I'm tired of being in bed by 8:30. But anyway, today is my Thursday and I'm super excited the week is almost over.

Also, H wrapped my Christmas gifts last night and all I heard for like 45 minutes was complaining. The paper was being annoying, the tape wouldn't come out, the scissors weren't cutting right. All this for 4 gifts. It was rather entertaining and he emerged looking both victorious and annoyed.

We're up early here, because neither of us can sleep. H has a (very) minor surgery scheduled for 11 this morning, and I think we're both a little worried about it. So, I'll be honest... I'm glad there will be an AYG to distract me while I'm waiting at the hospital.

On a positive note.... I'm done with work until January 3rd!

Steph--GL to H for his surgery. I'm sure he will be fine.

I just have a full slate of work today, between tests and research papers for my kids. Teaching this damn research paper is the bane of my existence, but at least my kids are actually trying and working on it, so there is that. I can't wait for it to be Thursday, 12:18 pm. I just want to be free.

Ooooooh I forgot to update! I got a call from my line of credit person yesterday afternoon, theyve decided to backdate my payment and waive the amount that was owing so I dont owe ANYTHING now!! I am beyond thrilled, and while I know I shouldnt have screamed at the guy... atleast it worked. I wont make a habit but it sure felt good to do it.

Other than that, its wednesday. Im hoping once again that today goes well, because it was even worse yesterday than monday was.

My daughter and I baked 15 dozen sugar and gingerbread cookies yesterday. I hope we're done once they're decorated.

I'm pretty jealous of all the people I read who have such a big holiday break. I'm not taking my 2 days of holiday til the first weekend after New Years, when my MOH visits from New York.

I've been up since 5am, since I work out with one of the local Knotties who lives around the corner from me. Totally negating that workout right now cause I really wanted some Sonic breakfast this morning.

Morning, ladies.

I can't sleep and it's really starting to tick me off. I first woke up at 3:00 and haven't been able to get back to sleep yet. Hopefully I can squeeze in another hour or so before I really have to be up for the day.

On a more positive note, I get to go back home today after spending the last week in the polar bear land of Tahoe. I've been freezing my ass off here!

I really wish I could have watched. It would have been so entertaining. One gift was a movie (I know because I asked for it), but I don't know the other three. Regardless, they were small and easy shapes to wrap. My favorite was the sudden "What the hell is WRONG WITH YOU?" shout that had me laughing for a good 5 minutes.

Steph, GL to your H! I got your Christmas card yesterday. I lurves it.

I braved the mall last night, and it was aweful. But as terrible as the mall was, Toys R Us was waaaaay worse. I nearly had to ram some biitch with my car trying to get out of my parking space. Seriously, if you see a car is ON, don't stop behind it and be oblivious to it's honking. Tonight I may have to go to Walmart. I think I"ll walk.

Also, I think I'm finally putting up the Christmas tree tonight. It almost does't feel worth the effort for, like 4 days, but whatever.
