Welcome Letter and New Orleans Suggestions

I was wondering if anyone is (or already has) including a welcome letter in their welcome bags for all guests who will be staying in hotels from out of town? I wanted to include a quick welcome, restaurant suggestions, fun things to do/see, etc. all within NOLA. Please let me know what you have done and included. Does anyone have a template of what they have done?

I just included in the bags a NOLA vistor guide which has all the restaurants etc listed. You can get them for free by contacting the visitor bureau. I can't remember the website, but you can google it!

They would send me 5 at a time and I'd email them every couple weeks for more. I did it straight from the website, but I'm sure if you called, they would've probably mailed all at once, I was just a lazy ass.

I emailed lrobert@neworleanscvb.comat the convention ab=nd visitir's bureau and she sent me a Nola Visitor's guide and walking maps for 80 guests. They messengered over a box to our hotel for free.

I ordered some from the visitor's bureau too and they couldn't ship them, but said I could pick them up at their office.

Thanks to everyone for the suggestions and I will definitely be contacting the visitor bureau for some information. Is there still a template that someone has?

Here is the thread for the template - and if you scroll down a bit, the original creator of the template has her email address on there and will customize it for you in your colors for a small fee (she was getting alot of requests) Good Luck!
