Bouquet Pricing

I set up an appointment to meet with a florist next Tuesday regarding a bouquet and I have no idea what to expect price wise.

What types of flowers are you ladies having - and how much is it costing?

I plan on making a Mario bouquet (For some pictures and for the heck of it)- as well as having a real pretty flower one.

Re: Bouquet Pricing

  • That mario bouquet is awesome!!

Before I changed my flowers around, I was going to have calla lillies, cymbidium orchids, and roses, and that bouquet was $195.

Now that I've changed everything, I'm using peonies, garden roses, sweet pea, and hydrangea and it'll be $175.

The average prices that I have seen for bouquets are between $125 and $175.

I made mine from silk flowers for $40 because it wasn't that important to me.

Quoted so I could read it (it was off the page).

My bouquet is $200 but it's rather large with a lot of different types of flowers. I have garden roses, spray roses, ranunculus, tulips, freesia, hydrangea, white stock, some other things. It's all white. My bridesmaids' bouquets are smaller with a lot of different flowers (candy bianca and light peach roses, ivory roses, spray roses, babies breath, light blue delphinium, white pom poms, peach carnations, and greens) and they are $75 each.

  • Mine is $185 for an all peony, monochromatic bouquet. They will use english garden roses if peonies are unavailable.

  • Mine is $200 for a large bouquet with just roses, spray roses, and hydrangeas.
"Judging a person does not define who they are. It defines who you are."
  • Mine is also going to be close to be between $150-$200 depending on how our final meeting goes when we discuss what is in-season the week of the wedding and what our florist can get the best of.  The plan right now is for (nearly) all white - with peonies, roses, hydrangea, white stock, a bit of drapey white flowers (can't remember the name)and then some calla lilies with the purple center to give it a pop of color.

My Bridesmaids have a totally different look with a mixture of lavender, purple, and white flowers and theirs are all $75/each.
  • Here's a picture of my bouquet:

It has  Blue Hydrangea, white mini calla lilies, green roses, and green hypericum berry. and it's $336  Yes that's a 3.3.6   Looking what everyone else is paying I see mine is at least double price as some of yours.  Canada's flower must be super expensive in comparison to the US!

  • Just a follow-up. It'll be unlikely that peonies are in season unless we have a super duper mild summer. My florist wouldn't even entertain the idea, despite checking with various outlets. She said if by some miracle they're available, she'll sub in peonies for garden roses, but I am not getting my hopes up. :( Garden roses look very similar and are available in July all the time.

  • My Bouquet is $165 and it is mini white calla lilies, green cymbidium orchid and tulips. I'm actually torn as to what kind of bouquet I want, if I want it lighter colored liek right below or adding more color and making it like the 2nd pic, Help!

  • I think mine cost $185.  It will be a mix of white, orange, and blue flowers.  I am not picky, so I told her to pick which flowers as long as they look nice together. My one specification was to put in some dahlias because I love them!

My bouquet will have red cockscomb, red dahlias and red & baccara roses. It is $200 with an antique gold ribbon.  My bridesmaids bouquets have gloriosa orchids, purple dendrobium orchids, red & hot princess roses, and seeded eucalyptus and the cost for each is $50, with red satin ribbon.

Other than asking for roses, dahlias, and cockscomb to be in my bouquet, since I'm not a flower person, I let my florist decide the other flowers.

I was also told that there's no way I would be able to have peonies at my wedding because they will be out of season by mid June. It's a bummer but I wasn't going to plan my wedding around a flower.
  • lvissers - I love the first one but am not quite as crazy about the second one. So I agree with the others :)

I like both - but the first one is definitely <3.

So it looks like I should be expecting somewhere between 150 and 200..not terrible.

    :o)

Talking about flowers just gets me all excited to see how beautiful everyone's pictures are going to be!

  • Mine is $135, but we went a florist that ONLY uses locally grown flowers (MD, VA, and southern PA) so that keeps the costs down. It does mean that I won't know the specific flowers I'll get until the week of the wedding, but I'm not a huge flower person anyway so I don't mind. She just gave me a price based on the size and style I like.

bridetobe where is your florist getting the peonies? Mine ships them from Cali and said that was the one flower she could for sure get. The only flower she was iffy about for me was the sweet pea.

  • ceglare - that's so weird. That's actually the one flower she said she would not be able to get. I have no idea where she has the flowers shipped from, but I even had her call a bunch of different people and she said it really was unlikely. Maybe she just doesn't want to check? Or doesn't want them to wilt? I wonder if it matters that you're in Grand Rapids and I'm in PA? In any event, it's not a huge deal, but I would have liked the peonies since unlike some people I am kind of obsessed with flowers.

  • Honestly...no idea...I think my bouquet is $150ish? I'm having calla lilies, white garden roses, & freesia
  • I ended up ordering flowers online and am making the bouquet myself. Mine is pink, orange and white gerber daisies. I paid $150 total for all of the wedding flowers.

  • After going to a florist and being quoted $55 per bouquet I looked around. I found on Sams Club I could buy a bulk of 10 for $119. I have 7 brides maids so I can take the extra 3 bouquets and build an larger set for myself.

  • I've been priced around $150 but she has to find out how much the succulents are going to cost. Nothing really spoke to me until just the other day when i saw this on the knot! It's close to what i was planning on before but this one just fit perfectly. This one has cotton in it cause that was their theme but mine will have commercial mums in their place. I Love Love Love it!
