Starting to freak out!

So every day this week, I've been checking out the mail box with anticipation, only to find one or no rsvp.  The due date is next Saturday and while that's still a week away, I'm a bit perturbed (and annoyed) that folks have been sitting on it for so long.

Right now, we just have about 50% returns.  With the exception of two couples, everyone was supplied the save the date back in November, so I can't imagine any conflicts as they've had several months notice.  And if they can't come, waiting until after the rsvp will just seem rude.

We need at least 90 guests, and we have 50 right now, so I hope we at least make the catering minimum.  I'm not gonna lie and say I won't be disappointed if those I expected to show up don't (it'll be interesting to see how I deal with that situation and future invites).  I just can't understand why folks do this?!  AAARRRGGGHHHHHH!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Okay, not feeling better but at least I have a venue to vent.  Thanks knotties.

OMG..I would be freaking out too.  People are busy with their own lives, and forget the common courtesy.  But you still have another week, which is a still a good amount of time.

My photographer was telling me about a wedding where the culture does NOT expect an rsvp even though the bride reqested.  It was a large wedding of confirmed guests....150.  Well, another 100 people showed up to the reception without ever responding!!!!!.  And the catering hall was somehow able to feed them all!!!   Can you even imagine????

Anyway, keep your fingers crossed.  You could have a ton of them all at once between now and next Saturday!  Good luck...

Thanks.  I know with today being tax day and everyone is enjoying spring, folks are dilly-dallying.  I guess, especially when I've gotten a save-the-date months out whether or not I'm going, once I get the invite, I don't sit on it.  And if I do, it's not so close to the deadline.

Thankfully, we don't have to worry 100 unexpected folks, but we do need minimums and to plan for other needs (favors, seating, etc.).  I couldn't resist and sent out an email reminder to just my friends yesterday  (his side, which was only mostly family anyway, is about done with the exception of about 10, which if they don't rsvp by next week, he'll be responsible to track down.  I made it very jokey, so folks wouldn't think I was being bridezilla, and many were grateful for the reminder because they just put it off. My one friend did tell me he's bad about that stuff and would be coming, so I was happy to get a confirmation of two extra folks.  So with that, I'm hoping all or the majority will be in time.  :)

I never want to do this ever again!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
