If not, I'm going to say "hey, this might be an OK Eureka replacement for you--it's on netflix streaming, it's funny sci-fi that's not slapstick/reddwarf"

    I don't know if it was me, but I watch that show on Netflix. I haven't watched the most recent season because I'm working through Doctor Who.

    I'm not caught up on ANYTHING.
    Not on Dr. Who (I'm still stuck w/ Martha as the sidekick) and not on RedDwarf.
    But Warehouse 13 is one I don't think the Mr. will like so I don't have to share it :)

    I'm a little *scrunch face* at the tropes that seem to be gender stereotyped, but not enough that I would throw the baby out with the bathwater.
    So if it was you, Pmeg, thanks, I think I'll hit episode 2 tonight while the Mr. works late and I avoid election coverage :-P

    I love Warehouse 13, but it does have some bad writing.  Just get ready for it to be bad, but love it anyway.  It reminds me of Santuary in that manner.

    I can't really get into the new Doctor.  I don't know why. I just haven't been all that interested in either the new Doctor and I really dislike Amy and Rory.  A LOT.  Worst companions EVER.

    Hm...I don't know if I would say it replaces Eureka, but it's about the closest you can get.

    i REALLY need to get up to date on Red Dwarf.  I'm years behind.  And it's the best, funniest, stupidest, worst acted/written sci fi ever.
    I LOVE it.

    (I need to get up to date because they just started the 'new' season in the UK--which I haven't figured out how to get)

    I tried to watch Red Dwarf.  There's some British humor I just don't get and that's one of the shows that falls into that category.  Some of it I do and I'll laugh so hard I have to run to the restroom.  Some of it, I just sit there thinking, Weird British people.

    I really dislike Amy. And in Season 6, Matt Smith just speaks weird. Like the tone of his voice, etc. I'm hoping once Season 7 comes to Netflix/DVD it will be better. And agreed on the writing in Warehouse 13. Sometimes it is so cheese.

    It can be hard to do enough character development in 1 episode to REALLY get through, so the fact that after 1 I went "hhuh, I like these characters, and this is campy fun w/o just being scifidrivel" speaks well for it :)

    I'm planningo n hitting the door running here very shortly and eating microwaved crap while soaking my feet, sipping wine, and vegging out and working on spreadsheets tonight.  So this will make it worthwile :-P
