Fatima's Hair Design - Gloucester MA

Anyone out there ever had any experiences with this place or know anyone who has used them for their wedding? They were recommended by my reception site but they wont do the hair/makeup trial until 2-weeks before the wedding so Im a little nervous about commiting without knowing anything about them/knowing anyone who has used them and been happy/finding anything on the internet good or bad! Any info. at all would be so helpful! Thanks!

    I didn't use them, so I can't be too helpful.  However, I got married in Gloucester and I used Kerith from Split Ends.  She came to the room and did my hair, my moms and both bridesmaids.  She does makeup too, but I had a friend do mine.  Her website is www.splitends.me.

    Out of curiosity, where are you getting married?  I got married at the Ocean View, and I feel like they recommended that place to me as well.  Just wondering if it was the same place.

    We are using Angie at West End Salon in Gloucester, I loved my trial (pics in bio).  I personally wouldn't go with someone you couldn't have a trial with earlier, if you dont like them, you are stuck.

    It is The Ocean View Inn! And I feel like she is just on their recommendation list as a deal, not that she's amazing or anything. We went with their recommandations for some things because we were able to check them out and do research against other options and they did turn out being great options (like the florist and liquor stores) but to not be able to do a trial or find any reviews on line is stressing me out.

    Thank you both for your recommendatios of what you used int he area! I will set up appointments with them asap and probably ditch Fatima's (they asked me to let them know within a week to keep my spot, again, the wedding isn't until July, why the rush??)

    Also,Lexi where are you getting married? And Kaustin how was your wedding at The Ocean View??? Any suggestions??

    oh Lexi I saw your page and see where you are getting married!!! My dream spot just like you!!! You are a lucky girl and PLEASE post pics after!! And I saw your hair it looks LOVELY - thank you for putting all your information up so you can calm my nerves and I can call those people immediately!!:)

    Hey Mac!  I just responded to your other post about the Ocean View!  We had such an amazing wedding, despite the unbelievably horrific weather (it rained so hard the roof leaked!  So much for my dreams of beautiful photos out on the rocks).  No tips that I can think of- sounds like you're all set with vendors, although I am happy to share any of mine.  OH, only tip I do have is that if there is another wedding going on at the same time parking is a little bit of a cluster.  Make sure your guests know which building is YOUR wedding!  I didn't see it happen, but I heard that right after I came down the aisle and they started the wedding, two guests slipped out the back door- they were supposed to be in the other ballroom but came in late and went to the wrong place.  I guess they didn't know the groom, so when I came in they realized they had the wrong bride!  

    All said and done, the Ocean View staff did a fantastic job.  Everything ran like clockwork.  I wasn't a huge fan of Peter during the planning process, but I could not have been more pleased with how everything turned out on their end.  Good luck!  I can't wait to see pictures!  Feel free to email me at kaustin2010@gmail.com if there is anything else I can help you with!
