Alright, so I have essentially been MIA for quite awhile lately! With work, and everything else going on, I just haven't made it on... SO... I am making a point of doing a proper update of stuff today with pictues
First of all.... 15 DAYS!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
Alright, now that I got that out.... lol! My bachelorette party was August 24-26th in Toronto! We started off with a 'classy picnic' (picture a table cloth at a picnic table in a park, drinking sparkling drinks, non alcoholic, out of actual glass wine glasses while eating finger foods lol). After that we went for a walk then back to my MOH's house to change for the bars. We started off in the 'gaybourhood' as they call it, its an area of TO that is all gay bars (are we surprised with my Man of Honour lol). Went to a couple bars there that were A LOT of fun. After that we went for a sushi dinner, then off to a latin nightclub. The nightclub actually paid for a stripper to come in to give each of the 'brides to be' a lap dance as there were a few bachelorette parties there that night! They didn't make me wear a ton of sashes, etc which is great, because that's not my thing, just one mini hat that I loved and glowsticks lol Here's my hat :P
Sept 1 my brother, his gf, my sister, FI and I threw a surprise 50th birthday party for my mother up at my brother's house. I did some DIY for this (surprise surprise for those that know me) and was SO happy with how it went. Here are the cutlery packets I did up for the table:

We pulled my brother's canoe out for the party, but then Mom's best friend and I had to take a drink for a beer lol

My sister told me that she's got the dresses ready for final fittings for my bridal party and flower girls. She is waiting to put the black sashes on the waist until she knows the waists are the right size
She went to my brother's house and fit my one niece and sent me this picture, how adorable is this!
Recently I have become totally addicted to Accuweather, btw for ladies who aren't married yet DON'T fall into this trap!!!!! Its been telling me since it was available that its raining... alot... like for almost a full 2 weeks with my wedding right in the middle! Hahaha. At first I stressed about it a lot but then I stumbled across these pictures and fell in love:
So I ran out and picked myself up a big 2 person umbrella and a friend is sending me bright red gum boots from New Zealand where she lives!
So now I'm almost excited for rain (although I still would like my outdoor ceremony so I'm torn on that one lol).
Oh ya, missed another big choice I made lately. FI has been kinda obsessed with the whole TTD sessions, however we're getting married and then have to be in Toronto the next day for a flight at 7:30am so no time to do one at our wedding location. We just kinda let go of the idea of doing one. WELL... been in touch with a photographer in Cabo and I am surprising FI with one there
I will pack black dress pants and a white dress shirt of his in with my honeymoon luggage and then just slip my reception dress in after I change the night of the wedding. Here's the beach we settled on for the shoot:
I was sporting my shoes last night doing housework (dishes, laundry, etc). I was doing the sock trick. If you don't already know it, and haven't broken in your wedding shoes, learn it now! Wear a pair of damp socks with your shoes around the house as the socks dry. It lets your shoes stretch out just a little and comfortably break in. I brought them to work today and will wear them around the office for an hour or two each day until they are comfortable. Here are my shoes looking hott wtih my socks :P
I also finally took the time to iron on the rhinestone iron on I bought off Ebay onto my sweatshirt that I'll wear for my flight to our honeymoon, and love the result! I blacked out my new last name, you know internet privacy and all that stuff... lol
Besides that we're just finalizing everything with vendors and getting stuff packed up for the trip. Can't believe its gettting so close now!!!!
