Do you remember that time on The Nest when there were three women or so who admitted that their husbands never brushed their teeth, ever?  And that one lyssbobiss, said that she didn't notice when they were dating because he smoked?

    That is significantly grosser than being a dirty hippie.

    IHO of the dirty hippies a story:

    At work one day we were talking about Freeganism, not really sure why, but we were. Anyway, I mentioned that I had several Freegan friends, and at times it was annoying because they always hint at wanting leftovers. A couple weeks later there was a CSI (?) on that featured Freegans. The manager in the discussion came up to me and said "I saw Freegans on TV, and whenever I see Freegan I think of you now. Is that weird?"

    I just looked up what a freegan was, and that sounds like that Not Buying It book that I read and panned.  Ugh.  Those people might actually be more annoying than actual vegans.

    And for the record, I dont' even consider myself near that realm of nasty hygiene or lack thereof.

    Yeah, Kuus, my friendship with members of that bunch stemed from my time spent as an acutal dirty hippie. They can be very annoying at times, and I don't get the whole dumpster diving thing. Ick.

    Well, working for free, organizing a giant awareness event (including one in Pittsburgh attended by my still currently hippie realtives) for the non-profit I worked for and basically trying to end a war and save the children is really all the story to tell. I worked with a lot of hippies, and was likely the least hippie of the bunch but I was often called one during my time there.

    I do trash surveys with a client. It's akin to dumpster diving, but we don't pull anything out aside from recyclables. (I don't think I could eat from a dumpster).

    I don't remember this, and how does smoking mean you don't notice not-brushed teeth? I smoked two packs a day at some points - H still knew when I had morning breath, y'all. 

    Also, I am not dirty. I am just not a compulsive face washer. I like to keep my skin pretty, yo.
