    I agree to check in your local boards- but while you're here, I'm using Styled by Jen for hair and LOVED her at the trial.  She offers makeup too, but I'm doing my own.

    I would highly recommend my hairstylist, Rita Ragone. I know that she also does makeup, and she has been a stylist on tv and worked with many celebrities. I know that she works downtown a few days a week at Astor Hair, but she may be willing to travel to you.

    Check out Fix Beauty Bar.  It's a blowout and nail bar on the upper east side, the first of its kind.  The concept is simultaneous blowouts and manicures (and pedicures) in a beautiful space, using luxurious products, while serving free wine all day, done quickly and at a moderate price.

    Blowouts are a flat fee of $40, updos $75 and manicures are $15.
