My bridal shower was yesterday at VVL & we had an amazing time (despite the rain)! At first, I was nervous about being the center of attention with no groom by my side to take the focus off, but the ladies were really welcoming & sweet. Additionally, they were so generous because we received so many wonderful & thoughtful gifts from them. One downer (besides the rain), our linen company arrived 2 hours late (1 hour before our event started- yikes!) so we were scurrying to dress tables & chairs at the last minute, which really put the pressure on. About a handful of early bird guests even chipped in to help, which I was so embarrassed about at the time. With the wedding 40 days away, I realize that there's nothing you can do when a vendor shows up late. You can call them, try to think of a plan b in case they don't show up altogether, but there's no point in stressing. Little slip ups happen & you just have to roll with it. I didn't let it ruin my day yesterday, which I'm grateful for because this is the only wedding shower I have to enjoy! GL ladies!
