I'm just over 6 months out. I think I'm done booking all of the big items, but tell me if I'm wrong: I have the wedding and reception venues (including caterer), the photographer, the dj, the limo, the bakery, my dress, guest favors, and I'm working on the centerpieces. I feel like I forgot to list something here, but that's all I can think of. How am I doing??

ETA: Forgot about flowers...that's booked too :)

You're certainly not behind... but I would be thinking about paper-y things soon!  Invitations, rsvps, programs, menu cards, table numbers, etc.

Good thought! I'm working on STDs right now, just waiting until we take our e-pics in the next few weeks so we can send those out.

Any recommendations on where to order all the paper-y things?

I'm at the point where I'm ready to have a total money meltdown haha.  Already had one a few months back when I first booked the reception hall, I figure I probably have 5 or so of these to go!  ;)

I've got the reception hall booked.
I know who is doing our flowers and cake.
DJ is going to be booked next week.
Photographers I'm still not even close to being sure about.
Videographer is a friend so that's taken care of.

I thought I felt like I had more done than I apparently do haha.

I had one of these yesterday haha!! FI and I just bought a house, so the money situation is a bit stressful at the moment!

Have you thought about transportation options?

I would suggest DIY, especially if you just had a money meltdown with FI yesterday!  :)

I bought an invitation kit from Michaels and was beyond thrilled with it and I figure I saved a bunch of money.  If you go this route, definitely use 40% pff coupons.  The kit I had included two enclosure cards and an rsvp envelope.

They no longer carry the kit that I chose, but this is essentially the same thing- just a different pattern.

I didn't use it, but I've heard nothing about good things about vistaprint.com for your paper things if you don't want to make them yourself.  I've heard that their prices are great too.

Also, I just wanted to add that you might want to consider sending out STDs without engagement pics if they aren't scheduled for another few weeks.  Generally, STDs should be sent out no less than 6 months before your wedding.

    Good luck with your projects!
