Pre-Wedding Immune System Crash

With two weeks to go, my body has decided that it can't take the stress anymore! I used up a box of those stick-on heating patches after developing major neck and back pain this weekend, and while that has improved, I fear I now have a cold. On top of that, my skin has decided to completely break out. School is stressing me out big time, and I'm afraid that it's distracting me from the excitement for our wedding. It just seems like these next few days will fly by. I'm planning to get a massage and do my pampering next week, but first I need to make it through this week.

Ugh. Anyone else starting to feel the strain?

Re: Pre-Wedding Immune System Crash

  • I feel your pain. I've been having tension headaches for months and, like other posts that I have read, dreaming more. Then a few weeks ago I got a cold, got over it, and then a week later I got another one. I normally go a year in between. That's also on top of taking a daily vitamin and then when I got sick, taking an extra dose of vitamin C. Apparently, planning a wedding isn't very good for your health. lol

  • I've been stressing big time. My mother is a wicked controll freak, and the last week she's gotten pretty bad. I had a little breakdown this morning about it. So, mental health issues, with the accompanying stress headaches and sleeping issues :(
It doesn't have to be perfect to be everything I want!

  • I sliced my left pointer finger open a week ago and had five stitches...hand is sore and finger still has no feeling. Now I'm on antibiotics which has given me women's problems. Oh, and I'm covered in zits.
  • I have had excezma growing up. Usually it is on my hands, NOW I have it in spots I have never had it.   So bad, I may need a cover up for my arms.

    Believe me, I,m with you!

  • Oh wow, I'm in the exact same boat! I had been using icy hot patches on my shoulder (I had an injury a while ago, and just switched jobs, and my new desk chair is straining my shoulder..). I have a nasty cold right now. It hit me instantly last night at my friend's house, and I thought it was allergies, but I woke up this morning and feel terrible.

I had to cancel my haircut today, but I still went to my pre-marital counseling appointment. Ughh, I do not have time for this. I guess it's better now than three weeks from now...
  • Same here!  I am nursing a nasty cold - I have to leave work early, which I never do.  Like PP said, better now then during my wedding!

  • I hear you on this one. Horrible neck pain, mostly because I've been grinding my teeth again. Thanks, stress! I also haven't been sleeping well which has me run down. My head has been killing, which I hope is just allergies. We have a frost warning tonight, so hopefully that will kill off whatever is making me and itchy, sneezy mess.

The next 27 days cannot pass quickly enough.
