  This is the one thing we just can't decide on ... I've never been too close to my dad (my parents divorced when I was 10, and he moved to the other side of the States), and so many songs are super mushy ...

  Yeah, I had a really hard time finding one that wasn't too overly mushy.  Maybe one of these songs will work for you?

  That's our song too! My dad LOVES Paul Simon and used to play him for me all the time as a kid, so it was perfect for us. I love it!
