Hey I looked at some of the same places as you and narrowed it down to the Royal Manor and Lakeside Manor.  We are going to schedule a tasting with Royal Manor before making a decision.  Did you end up booking there?  I loved everything about it really.  The only thing that makes me torn with Lakeside is Lakeside has a much prettier ballroom then Royal Manor does.  What did you think of the ballroom?

Hey guys! I also booked with the royal manor. When is your wedding? Is Doug taking care of you?

We haven't booked yet, we have a 2nd appt. at Lakeside Manor first then a tasting scheduled with Royal Manor.  We seem to be leaning more towards the Lakeside Manor, but we will see how everything goes!

Good luck then! Let me know how the tasting goes! Their menu is one of the main reasons we booked with them.

it's funny you say that about the menu because at first thats what made me torn between the two, that and the overall look of Lakeside.  Right now, Lakeside is a few dollars cheaper per person, however going to bargain with them at our 2nd appt. and see what else they can do for us because when we went to Royal Manor to see the place they basically said they negotiate a lot with price and tax if your serious about booking.  when did you book for?

Yes they definitely will negotiate as long as you are willing to book. We ended up booking June 10, 2012. Considering that it's prime time and how much food they offered, we are pleased with the price. We're only worried about the ceremony site because it is about to go under rennovation. However, we did see the new layout and it looks good so far. I'm actually surprised that Lakeside is cheaper.

We are looking at a Friday night in March 2013, so that could also be why.  Royal Manor does def. offer a great menu and i liked everything but the ballroom really.  We are doing the ceremony at a church, so don't have to worry about that part!  The other thing with Lakeside is location wise for a Friday night, we are from Staten Island so its a much shorter drive then Royal Manor.  I will let you know how the tasting with Royal goes.  Good Luck to you too!

Hey, we ended up canceling the tasting because we did a tasting at Lakeside Manor the night before we were supposed to goto Royal Manor and food was great and after seeing Lakeside for a second time realized thats where I wanted to get married.
