Southwest Atlanta Venues?

Hi Everyone!

Does anyone know of a beautiful venue on the South/Southwest side of Atlanta for a wedding and reception? I've got a very tight budget of $3,000 for venue and food. I'm expecting between 40 and 50 people. Many of those will be kids and no alcohol will be served.

We want to get married in November (yes, next month before it gets too cold). My fiance is moving down from Ohio. Many of the venues I've seen recommended appear to be North/Northeast. I'm out in Fairburn - so Peachtree City, Fayetteville, Douglasville, College Park, East Point or the Cascade area would be best.

Thanks!

Katy

Never mind!  I have too many windows open and thought you had posted on a different board.

My suggestion to you would be Douglasville Conference Center. It's a beautiful place and VERY reasonable, and you may be able to get something for next month.

You could also try the College Park Women's Club.

I live in Newnan and I am getting married this Sunday at the Douglasville Cultural Arts Center. VERY reasonable facility rental, and you can use any caterer you want.

    Good luck!

Thanks Everyone! My fiance's niece recommended her former church - it's a small, nice church in Winston, GA which is on the outskirts of Douglasville. The name is Old Mountain Top Baptist Church and it is perfect for a small wedding. They have a fellowship hall that looks like it would hold 50 - 100 people and also has a full kitchen and buffet station. They already had all tables and chairs, table cloths and flower arrangements on the tables.

I went there yesterday and booked it. The fee was only $500 to rent the sanctuary and fellowship hall as we plan to have the ceremony and reception there - a real blessing for what you get, especially for a Saturday wedding.

Oh - and if you are thinking about going there, then use the Yahoo directions - the ones from Google are wrong and had me lost when I was trying to find it!

I really appreciate the suggestions! God bless you all!

    Katy
