Hi Everyone!

My fiance and I have decided on a reception at J Vernos studios in Southside and we are looking for suggestions from other brides who have had their receptions there.

We are looking to start booking other vendors and are hoping you can help us start by letting us know who you used and who is familair with JVS that you liked?

We're looking for a caterer, DJ, florist, hair stylist & make up artist that will come there. We're also looking for vendors that are reasonably priced or on the cheaper end since so much of our budget already went to JVS & his photgraophy.

Also, if you didn't get married at JVS, where did you get married?

    I am not getting married there (our venue is the PPG Aquarium at the Pittsburgh Zoo), but I have heard from people who have that Yes We Cater is a good choice. They are familiar with the venue and I believe their prices are reasonable. I don't know much more than that, though.

    Val Brooks - a hidden gem of a florist. Lots of us have used/are using her. Very reasonable prices, fabulous work, nicest lady ever.

    I am also having my ceremony and reception at J Verno Studio next year, I have picked Yes We Cater has my cater and they are great. I can't wait for my day.

    Does Val Brooks rent out centerpiece vases as well?  We are looking for simple centerprices with just floating candles and flower petals in them.  Do you have her information?

    We looked into Yes We Cater and they sent us a quote, but it seems like a lot of money in the end... so we're undecided about them still.

    Are you just using JVS's white chairs or are you getting different ones or covers?

    Just wanted to say that while I am not getting married at JVS, I am using Yes We Cater as my caterer.  Their initial estimate for me was on the high end too, but i basically told them what my budget is and they have been great about working with me on that.  Also, one of my friends used  Yes we Cater for their wedding 2 years ago and I walked away thinking it was some of the best wedding food I had ever tasted.  Fiance and I both have always said Yes we Cater was who we wanted doing our wedding.
