Had my second fitting today! It is looking good! The top fits perfectly now that she put the cups in. Today she figured out how the bussle is going to go and pinned it all up. I LOVE my dress, but when I saw the bussle I think I loved it even more! Thanks to Lauren for the great recommendaton for Dressmaking by Dolly!
Hair trial is booked for the 26th and Dolly (my seemstress) is going to let me stop by so that I can see what my dress will look like with my hair!
And not really a check, but cool nonetheless...
I have a very small family and some of them are coming from Texas to be at my wedding. I do have one uncle that has always been a hard working stiff without a lot of money, but he scrapes by. I love him so much...he calls me every week to check in with me and even though I don't get to see him that much, I still feel very close to him and last week I was sad to find out that he just couldn't afford to fly up for the wedding. Which is sad because I have another uncle and 2 aunts that are coming from the same area, but they couldn't afford to help him out.
Well I came up with an idea and I talked to FI and my mom and dad and then I called my uncle in TX. I asked him that If I could get him on a plane, would he come to the wedding? He himmed and hawwed about if for a while, but I told him that I could get him a ticket on the same flights as the rest of my family and that he can share a room with my dad at the hotel since the room is booked anyway and has 2 beds. He finally agreed and I booked everything so now he is going to be able to come to my wedding!!! I'm so happy! It all feels right now because everyone that should be there is going to be now!
