Rehearsal Dinner help!

I am looking for an inexpensive rehearsal dinner location in the Plymouth/White Marsh area. We are getting married at the Valley Green Inn (Chestnut Hill area), but our hotel is in Plymouth Meeting. Any suggestions for restaurants in this area or closer to Chestnut Hill?? Thanks.

    What about the Great American Pub in Conshy? I bet they would let you tailor a menu that fits your budget and that is 5-10 minutes from Plymouth Mtg.
    Are you looking for somewhere with a private room? If not, there is a great Mexican place on Plymouth Road (Plaza Azteca, I think is the name) that is really reasonable for dinner and has really good food.

    What type of feel are you looking for? Will a pub do or do you want something more upscale? Do you want a private room or are you okay with just a table in the restaurant? How many people?

    What about Bruno's?!   They catered our wedding.  They are the preferred caterers for Morris Arboretum amongst many others! It is actually great food and BYOB now!!!  It is right by the beginning of the Valley green- across from Chesnut Hill college (if you're not familiar); on Germantown Ave and Wissahickon.   I actually think that could be perfect because they have the enclosed outside patio that I am sure you could reserve depending on how many people you are having. Call and talk to Carl (he's one of the owners....pm me if you are going to call and i'll give you my info. he'll give you a great deal).

    and congrats! We got married last October, 10.9.10, in Chesnut Hill as well :)   It was a GORGEOUS day. LOVE that time of year in philly.

    If you're willing to venture a few minutes in the opposite direction, we are having our rehearsal dinner at Manayunk Brewing Company on Main Street in Manayunk.  It's a bit more casual, so I'm not 100% sure what you're looking for, but still white tablecloth, and the space is really cool. It's very reasonably priced, too.

    the Broadaxe Tavern is delicious (with a banquet room) on Skippack Pike just a few miles above Plymouth Meeting - I also love Plaza Azteca

    I have also heard yummy things about Brittingham's Irish Pub on Germantown more towards Lafayette Hill
