vomit...

Beyonce named her little girl Ivy Blue. Really? You couldn't give her a normal name and just dress her in a lot of blue??

Re: vomit...

  • I've seen Ivy Blue and Blue Ivy. Neither are good in my opinion, but I'm not a celebrity lol

  • I don't know why celebrities feel the need to do this! Like when Gwyneth Paltrow named her daughter APPLE!!!!!!!? Are you kidding me!? Or Courtney Cox naming her daughter CoCo???? That was my dog's name growing up. (May he RIP) But, seriously, I do not get it!!!!!

  • I agree on most of these celebrity names - although I did hear the Courtney Cox's daughters name was actually a family name (her great grandmother or something), so that one is ok, but the rest of them are nuts!
  • E! was showing it as Blue Ivy, which is even worse! For the baby's sake I sure hope it is Ivy Blue. I will never understand celebrities.

Someone said that on FB but then they posted a yahoo article link and they had it as Ivy Blue, but yes Blue Ivy is terrible. Blue is at the very least a slightly acceptable boy name. Not even close to a girl.
  • if she was trying to be original, someone already beat her to it.  A few years ago I had a little girl in my class and her name was blue.  Actually it was Azul (blue in spanish) but everyone called her Blue.

  • It's very possible that I've been ruined by my years living, working, and basically being immersed in Hollywood... but Ivy Blue isn't really that crazy to me.  I knew an Ivy growing up (she was a year ahead of me in school).  And middle names don't really batter too much, IMO, unless they plan to actually call her by her first and middle name at the same time.

I believe in a lot of things. I believe in fresh tennis balls, the healing power of bunnies, and that the novels of Susan Sontag are something I'll never read. In fact, I don't even know who Susan Sontag is. What is she... like... a painter? I believe in Crystal Lite because I believe in ME. I believe in the movies of Val Kilmer, though these days it ain't so easy. I believe in Darren Sproles, the word "dabble", the first season of "Silk Stockings", and big, warm, moist, gooey chocolate chip cookies that melt in your mouth and all over your face.

  • Yuck! These poor kids.
  • I read somewhere that it's Blue Ivy.  Either one in my opinion is weird, but I would have preferred being named Ivy than Blue.  I like that they named her Ivy because of the significance of 4 (IV) in their lives.

    Equally as awful
  • I heard about this (thank you baby name board on TB!), it really is so awful! I love how celebrities think they're the exception and can name their babies whatever obnoxious name they please. Don't you worry about your poor child's opinion of the name!? I'd hate for my child to hate their name for their entire lives.
