Fan Programs?

So, is anyone else doing fan programs? I have this on my list of things to do over the next two weeks. I have the file ready to print and the supplies ordered. I think the assembly should be relatively easy, but my fiance is convinced it'll be one of the projects that will end up driving me crazy. :)

If you did these, was it easier/harder than you expected?

Re: Fan Programs?

  • I did these and they were not bad at all!  Easier than I thought.  I finished 120 in 3 days.   I think it just depends on detailed you want to go into it.  For mine, I hot glued the sticks to the inside then hot glued the front to the back.  Then I rounded the edges using a corner punch and tied a bow around the handle.  Good luck!

  • I've arranged for my coordinator to do them for me. I didn't want the last minute stress. I've seen how-to guides online. Give yourself plenty of time and enlist your BMs to help if you need to. Good luck!
  • I'm doing them. Planning to print them this weekend. Cutting them out at night after work. FI wanted the style that fans out rather than paddle so more cutting for me. Yippee.

  • I am having a peacock themed wedding. So I have 4 fan blades that I found a pattern for online. Sent my invitation to a friend who does graphic design who then put my feather onto my blades.

After some trial and error and learning the difference between 120lb card stock and cover stock we got the paper right! We also had to order the paper online.

Then punched holes with the Crop-a-dile. and put a ribbon on it! The one below is opened up backwards! Thanks to Mom! haha

  • We are doing programs that fan out, similar to above. Ours have 5 blades and we ordered 100 programs. So far we have 3/5 cut out. We also got a crop-a-dile and ordered eyelets online. We will probably also tie a ribbon through. This is a long task, but I'm hoping it will be worth it in the end.
  • Thanks so much, all!  I have my sister/MOH lined up to help me with these. We are doing paddle fans, so hopefully they won't be too difficult.

Allanier - so which did you end up using? Card stock or cover stock? I was thinking cover stock.
