Hotels nearest to Ravenswood area?

We're getting married in October of next year at the Ravenswood Event Center and are really excited!  Trying to find hotels near the venue isn't really happening, we are accepting that we'll have to go either downtown or Evanston/ Skokie to find a hotel for our guests.  Anyone have any suggestions for reasonably priced hotels not obnoxiously far from the Ravenswood/ North Center area?  We'll probably have to reserve a block of 30-40 rooms, any suggestions appreciated!  Thanks!

    I live in Ravenswood, and afaik the best place for hotels would be the loop/mag mile. There are a handful of hotels in lakeview, but I don't think they're the best hotels. Have you looked into hotels near o'hare?

    I'd stick with loop or Evanston.  At least you're not far from LSD so either will be only 15 minutes.  Most private buses can use the drive, so you should be ok hiring a shuttle, but make sure to ask. 

    Airport stuff would be too far, and too much on city streets in my opinion.
