NWR Anyone else have a BB Storm?

This phone is f@*#ing awful!!! I should have listened when the guy at the store told me not to get it.

Aside from doing a battery pull once a day, does anything else help with the freezing, etc.? I know there's an update, but I don't have my cord to plug it into my computer with me now. (You'd think there'd be a wireless way to update it...)

I have one. I think. It's the one that's completely touch-screen, right? It's a POS. The battery pull does help a lot. Download the "quick pull" app, and set it to reset your phone while you sleep. That helps a lot. The other thing is, there are a lot of lemons of this phone. Mine is shitty. FI's works fine. My brother's works fine. SIL's is shitty, but she got verizon to let them exchange it for another Storm. You could always try that.

I was trying to figure out what BB is! I had the BB flip. Hated it. It would start to overheat without me actually using it - you could feel the battery area get REALLY warm which concerned me to the point where I removed the battery. And it would randomly shut off on me. Oh yeah, and the screen would randomly go black while in the middle of typing a text or looking up a contact. I hated that thing. Never getting a BB again.

Thanks Jenny, I will try the battery pull app. I had heard of it but forgot to download it for some reason.

Tygirl--H has had a bunch of different BBs (personal and work) and he liked them all a lot. Don't give up on BBs from just one crappy phone.

I have the Storm too. I freaking hate it. The first one I had, froze all.the.time. Like, multiple times a day. I got another one, and it's not as bad, but I still have to pull the battery every couple of days. I haven't done the update yet, but I need to. I really hate this phone too, but I'm trying to hang on and I'm hoping to get the iphone when it comes out on Verizon.

FI has the Blackberry Storm as well. When he had the old model he hated it and had to pull the battery all the time, but then he upgraded to the new model (Storm 2) and loves it. Do you have the Storm 1 or Storm 2? I used to work for Verizon, so if you need some advise on whats covered under warrenty and getting it replaced because of freazing, etc. let me know.

My brother works for Verizon and what he told my sister who was having this problem a while ago is you have to download the updates. I think hers worked after that. If its not working you can also take it in and see if they'll swap it out.

Melissa - it's okay. I went back to Motorola and am a happy girl again. I think I'll stick with them for the time being.

This is exactly me. I want to stay with Verizon but I want the iPhone.

I have Verizon and have a Samsung Rogue. I like that. Doesn't have all the apps and speed of BB or iphone, but it has the basics.
