Invites. Good Deal?

I posted this on E and I&P with little to no response.

I have a meeting with my invites person and this is a "deal" that she is giving me. I'm curious as to whether or not it is as good as I think it is. I can't DIY because I don't have the patience and am not all that good at computer design programs/crafytness that is above a 4th grade level.

160- triple layer invites with a velum overlay, response card and envelope and 2 enclosure cards
160-menu cards for the reception
160- 5 panel fan programs for ceremony
160-placecards
2'x3' (24"x36") table chart
160- double layer STDs
22- table numbers

All these things are composed of metallic papers as well.

The breakdown is about $170 for STDs, $600 for invites ($3.75 an invite), $200 for 160 programs, and then the remaining is scattered for the table numbers, placecards, and table chart.

Is 1200 a good deal for all of this stuff?

I've looked at On Paper in the short north too, but for the simplest invites it's 1400 alone, without the extra stuffs.

Thoughts? Opinions? Comments?

How many people are you inviting?
If you are sending out 160 invites, wouldn't you be inviting like 250 people?
If that's the case, wouldn't you need more like 250 menu cards, programs, etc??

Or if you are only inviting 160 people, you shouldn't need 160 invitations, unless they are ALL single, lol.

Maybe its just me but $1200 sounds like a lot.
I guess it just really depends on what they look lke and all that.

It sounds like they are pretty high quality, so I'm thinking $1200 is not a bad price for all of that.  A good portion of brides on these boards are major DYI or semi DYI with design websites, so if you were going this route, $1200 would be a lot.  But for professional paper elements of that level, it sounds like $1200 would be reasonable.

These are all just estimates. About 225 for invites. Don't need one of each program. The placecards and menues wouldn't be that big of a difference in cost. They are professional level. Quality paper etc etc etc

For all of that -- I think it sounds like a great deal!  (knowing someone is doing them for you rather than DIY).
I had the same question about how many you'd need -- number of people you're inviting is NOT number of invites you'll need, etc. -- but it sounds like you have that worked out.
5 panel fan programs for less than $2 each -- that's amazing!

    Is this from Alternative Hitches?

Seriously -- as someone who has had enough friends use me as help for this kind of stuff, I do think that quote is way more than reasonable!!

Yeah, that's a good deal. We had similar numbers and similar layouts (3 layer, etc.) and paid pretty comparable to that. Do it!
