You wouldn't believe the pain in the a** it has been to book our rehearsal dinner! I live in St. Louis and there is a big Oktoberfest the same weekend as the wedding. I have had TWO different places that I booked our rehearsal dinner at call me back and cancel because they didn't realize it was the same weekend as this big event....
So last week I found a place that FH and I have been a few times that was right by our church and, even though it was in the heart of where Oktoberfest was going to be, I emailed them and asked if they were available.
Of course the girl emailed me back saying yes, wanting details of how many, apps or seated dinner, etc. I was just outright with her and said "Look, Oct. 12th is during Soulard's Oktoberfest. Is this going to be a problem? I have already had this task checked off my list twice, and I would rather be upfront given the occasion." I know that may have sounded harsh, but this has been the mosy annoying task yet!!
Anyway, I am pleased to report that she said it wouldn't be a problem! It is a private space so I don't have to worry about it getting too busy or loud with normal customers. SO HAPPYto finally check this off of my list once and for all!
Now if I could just get everything else done......
