Ex Mother-In-Law at the wedding?

Hey Guys

My ex and I are still best friends, that's the way we were before and I am thanking god that let's the way we are now. Anyways I grew up without both of my parents, they both passed away before I was a year old. My ex-husband's parents kinda adopted my bother and I.

Would it be weird to have my ex-mother in law at my wedding and take part of everything that my soon to be mother in law is doing?

  • I don't think so, how does your fiancé feel about your relationship with your ex / ex in laws? Does he accept it? Honestly I think his opinion is the only one I would care about, and he probably already knows how close you are with them. As long as my fiancé was okay with it I wouldn't think twice about it:) Its yours and his day, nobody else's and they played a huge part of your life so why shouldn't they be there!

  • I agree with the PP, you sound like you are very close to her, so as long as your FI is okay with it, I don't think it would be a problem.
  •  I'm in a similar situation, my ex-boyfriend and i are best friends too. my fiance is awesome about it, never jealous. Not only do i plan to have ex-boyfriend be an usher in the wedding, but i'm definitely inviting his mom.  Sometimes relationships change, but that doesn't mean you have to stop caring.

  • Thanks everyone for their opinions. It is different this time around. I think that if I wasn't close to my ex mother in law Paula, also if I didn't have any kids with her son then maybe I would've invite her. But thanks again
