Fill us in with your WR and NWR updates from this past weekend!

WR: Nothing this weekend. I am hoping to crank some things out next weekend though! Next Monday I have an appointment with alterations to make my veil and to possibly add some things to my dress already!

NWR: My FI moved back home after finishing school.

I still have a semester left so it is going to be rough not having him here with me. Other than that I didn't really do much.

WR: I really didn't do much for my wedding this weekend. I've been kind of putting off wedding anything until after Christmas! Because there is just sooo much going on! lol

NWR: I got my mom and dads present FINALLY almost done! And I got my FI's Marine pictures printed to make his scrapbook. But other than that, nothing too exciting here!

WR - signed the bakery contract and the catering contract, also got our cake topper.

NWR - worked on papers the entire weekend and worked. I am so looking forwarrd to Winter Break.

WR: Had a cake tasting and decided what kind of cake we'd like. Haven't decided yet if we're going with the baker we tried, but its a step in the right direction. Found out what FI has up his sleeve for the cake topper and I am SO excited!! We got engaged in a hot air balloon so he's making a topper that's of us in the balloon

NWR: Got a lot of Christmas shopping done while shopping with my mom. I've only got a couple more things to get, including the big gift for FI - he's soooo tough to buy for!!

WR: Picked up my dress, sash, and veil on Friday! They are gorgeous! I love it all! I'm a Priscilla of Boston bride, so everything came in early--it wasn't due in until April!

I didn't get any pictures though--I'm a little annoyed that I didn't!

NWR: Did a lot of Christmas shopping, met our friends' new dog, went to the lights show at Macy's (formerly Wannamakers).

WR: Not much. I did find some inexpensive glass containers I'd like to get for our candy buffet at Walmart. However, I am not sure how to get them to Indiana safely, so my sister/MOH took cell phone pics of them, and since she is going there for Christmas, she and my mom will go buy them there! lol I also bought scoops and tongs for the candy buffet, found some cute boxes for guests to put candy in, and also got another DIY project with making a lollipop tree for the buffet. Can you guess what this week's focus has been on??

NWR: I went up to New Hampshire to visit my sister (she's in grad school at Dartmouth...about 3 hrs from me). I took her my family's Christmas presents to take with her on her trip to Indiana over her Christmas break. We did a little shopping, ate out a couple of times, watched movies, decorated a gingerbread house, etc. It was fun, but I'm so sad I won't be "home" for Christmas this year

WR: Mapped out the rest of my planning only to realize I'm basically done. Picking out bridesmaid dresses this week.

NWR: Packed because we are closing on Thursday :-)

WR - We had a wedding filled Saturday LOL! First we met with a florist - she seemed perfect! Knew what she was doing and was very informative and inexpensive! Plus I was looking through her books and found out she did the flowers for a friend of mine so that gives me a good vibe. We would have booked her on the spot except we have a meeting with another florist this coming Saturday, so we'll wait and give her a fair chance.

Also met with an officiant and same deal there. He was great! But we have a meeting with another officiant this weekend, so we'll wait to book.

Then we met with another baker. Her cakes were good but still not amazing (which is what I'm hoping to find!) Being a baker myself, it's SUPER hard trying to trust someone else with my wedding cake... I wish I could just do it myself! But... we have two more scheduled so we shall see - keeping my fingers crossed!!!

NWR: Hmmm... not much of anything. Some xmas shopping online & wrapped the presents we already have. I'm about to go finish up my shopping right now, as a matter of fact!

WR: did some ring browsing for my fiance- it's really hard to figure out his ring! He doesn't wear jewelry so this would be his first ring. He doesn't want something boring but he also wants something that's wedding band-y. So hard!

NWR: did some more Xmas shopping and went to the Jets game with my honey!

WR: Not much, got my monograms from Southern Proper. We are using them to put on the back of the chairs. They come unfinished, so we will paint them ivory and then most likely use a burlap ribbon from each side to tie them on the chairs.

NWR: Ordered my Christmas cards, a bit late I know, but they will be here Wednesday and in the mail on Thursday! Also, finished Christmas shopping. Just waiting for the wrapping paper I ordered to come in and then I can start wrapping.

WR - Wedding was talked about but that was really it. Went to a Christmas party that was catered by a restaurant we were interested in checking out for the wedding. Our good friends are giving us their timeshare points to use for our honeymoon! They are leaving for their own honeymoon tomorrow and said they will not be going anywhere next year in order to recover. This was amazing, we were not planning on going anywhere at all.

NWR: Purchased my SS awesomeness. FI's Christmas present came in from Woot Saturday. Purchased all of my baking needs for what we will be giving out for presents for everyone else. Started a DIY ruffle tree skirt today.

WR- not a thing,and that felt good to have a relaxing weekend without wedding stuff

NWR: Fiance has been asking me and asking me for 3 years to go see the tree in NYC .I was dreading it (the people! the cold!) but I realized just cuz I had been there and done that, he really wanted to do it- so i should do it for him.

So we went to NYC this weekend. It was so fun, we did all the touristy stuff I never do when i am there.
We were even on Kathy Lee and Hoda!

NWR: Christmas shopping for my family. Bought FI's birthday present. Also SS shopping.

WR: Got some foundation garments to wear while dress shopping tomorrow. Watched about 10 hours of SYTTD in preparation, lol.
NWR: Finished my semester at school, and decorated the house for Christmas!

WR: Nothing

NWR: Went on a girls' weekend to New Orleans. Had a WONDERFUL time! If you haven't been there I highly recommend it. There is so much more to that city than the craziness of Bourbon Street, and the architecture is just beautiful.
