Sort of DIY Invites

My plan for my invitations is to use a photo I took as background with the wording over it (the colors are legible) but I do not want to print them myself. I am looking to just upload the image I make and have them printed elsewhere. My question is where to have them printed.
I've looked at VistaPrint but worry about the quality of the cardstock etc. I dont want them to look cheap.
Is there a place you ladies know of with more paper/cardstock choices that specializes more in invitations rather than the wide variety VP offers but would still let me use my own design?
I am open to online or local printers if anyone has recommendations!

TIA!

Re: Sort of DIY Invites

  • I had my invites done with VP and really liked the way they turned out.  IMO, the quality was great and what I expected.  They do have a wedding sample kit you can order for free where you just have to pay shipping but that may be cutting it close time wise  to get it, decide, and order your invites.
My only tip for VP if you use them would be to do your design in something like powerpoint 4 times larger than the dimensions and let it automatically scale down when you upload it.
