DH's ring

My DH is a landscaper and often takes his ring off because he does not want to ruin it at work. He puts it in his pocket and I am afraid it is going to fall out. Does anyone else's DH have the same situation? Any suggestions?

I have a similar situation.  DH does a lot of work with his hands, and he plays a lot of sports.  I honestly haven't figured out the best solution (in my opinion), but he seems to think that it's totally secure by putting it in his wallet when he takes it off.  I do think that's a better solution than just putting it in his pocket, and he vows that it won't fall out of it.  There have been days when he knows he's going to have to leave it off all day (e.g. we have a large property that he splits wood on).  On those occasions he just leaves the ring at home.  Another option is maybe getting him a little box/change purse that he keeps in his glove compartment.  He can put the ring in there so it's safe.  I have seen some guys that wear other jewelry just put it on their necklace chain. DH isn't into jewelry though aside from his ring, so that's not a solution for him.

Can he leave it somewhere in his truck while he is working?  A box in the glove compartment would make me feel safer than him just slipping it into his pocket.

Both FI and I are planning to get really cheap sterling silver wedding bands. He likes to work on cars and bikes, and I'm a nurse. We figured it would be best to have something we weren't attached to so that if it gets lost or ruined it's not a big deal to replace it. I would suggest getting a cheap band he can wear to work, in a soft metal that could be easily cut off his hand if needed, and just wear the nicer band the rest of the time.

I have a similar situation since FI is a mechanic and works on cars alllll day long.  He doesn't wear any other jewelry, so putting it on a necklace is out for him...I like the idea of putting the ring in a box in the glovebox or something rather than slipping it into his pocket (I do the laundry, I know how easily he forgets about change/how easily it falls out, that would end up being the ring lol)

Can he put the ring on a chain to wear when he takes it off or is that too much jewelry trouble?
