How did you like it? I am trying to decide between renting a house to hold the ceremony and reception, or having it a nice restaurant. Either way the ceremony will be on the beach in Destin. Both are affordable budgetwise, but I will only be having about 30 guests and would like to have a more casual party feel, but also don't want to lose the wedding feel of it.
Also, if you did rent a house, who did you use? I have been looking for a beachfront house in Destin for weeks now and have had the worst time finding somewhere who will rent on a nightly basis. They all require a weekly stay and I am only wanting to rent it for 4 nights.
Thanks!
Re: For those who rented a house for ceremony/reception
Hope it helps!
We found using the big rental/ management/ real estate companies had a lot of extra fees and a large deposit to have a wedding. One would have cost us an extra $1500.00!!!
We are very excited with what we got for our money.
[QUOTE]I am getting married here Saturday: http://www.vrbo.com/33002 ... I'm not sure when you're planning on getting married, but in the off-season I imagine you'd be able to get it nightly. It will definitely feel more like a party than a wedding, but we're doing some lighting to make it more wedding-y.
