Alterations to fix a bit of dress regret...suggestions please!

I live in the Philadelphia area- Montgomery/Delaware county.  I bought my dress at a small shop 2 hours away- I fell in love with a Mori Lee dress but I hated the fabric, I ended up in another Mori Lee gown that is very similar to my first love but has some pickups- I think that some alterations would help with the issues I'm having with my dress...so I have turned to you knotties for help!  
I have read a lot of reviews for Nilah and Company in Drexel Hill, I wanted to see if any one has had major alterations (beyond a hem and a bustle) done and where you went!

    NCV had Nilah do major alterations / changes to her dress and she was very happy.

    She will probably see this, but if not I will ask her to jump on and answer any questions you have.

    Yep, Nilah totally changed my bodice as in ripped off the silk and put on new silk, added straps, and made a custom sash. 

    I can't say enough good things about her.

    I really need to make a before and after thing of my dress.

    NVC- I would love to see pictures!  As I said in my post- I do love (most) of my dress- but I think some alterations to the skirt would help me love ALL! of my dress.  I have read good things about her- but it helps to have some more feedback!

    I had the back lowered and larger straps added.  


    Here is the full length, I had several layers of crinoline taken out.  
    She made a custom sash.  I can't wait to wear the dress again in Oct for my English reception!

    Thank you so much for posting the before and after pictures!  Your dress is beautiful!!  I am feeling a lot more confident that with some alterations my dress will be perfect!

    You are very welcome.  I can't say enough good things about her.  I think I had about 6 fittings b/c at the end my boobs went insane!  

    I live in London and saw her last year, then Dec, April twice, then in May the week before the wedding 3 times.

    Oh but make sure you call WAY ahead of time if you are getting married in May which I think you are.  She only takes as mcuh work as she can handle.  I would call her now and meet with her.

    Actually that was going to be my next question- I was debating if I should wait until after Christmas...but now I am going to call her next week to schedule an appointment!  Thank you again and you are so lucky you get to wear your dress twice!!  Enjoy your English reception!
