Booked our salon!

I am lucky that my hairdresser is also a personal friend and she and her husband are making the trip up to Maine to spend our weekend with us.  Her gift to us is doing my hair and the hair of my 4 bridesmaids!  I'm so excited!  Unfortunately this left our two jr bridesmaids and the mom's.  I've just booked Island Indulgence who is going to come to our location so everyone is one place!  I'm excited and it feels good to have this detail booked!  What is everyone doing for their hair and makeup?

    We are having our hair and makeup done at Hair Artistry in Falmouth.  It's in the perfect location, right off of I-95 just two exits up from the hotel where my reception is, which is where I will be staying the night before.  I just started getting my hair done there after I decided it made the most sense to have my hair done near where I live and not 40 minutes away near where I work.  Their prices are great - $40 for an updo and $25 for makeup.

    i booked On the go hair designs which will travel where you are for hair.

    I booked a MadMakeup a fantastic makeup artist that will be beatifying all my girls including my mom and future mother in law

    i want everyone to feel fantastic so it was really important to me to hire hair and makeup

    My mom and I are going to Salon Freeport the morning of the wedding (or the stylist will come to us, not sure--it's a block away).  I have my hair and makeup trial on June 3, so hopefully all will go according to plan!  I have a giant, curly mop of hair, so I'm a little nervous.

    me too!  i'm going w/a blown straight updo so no issue but i was a professional actress for years and when i wasn't wigged designers got really creative with my hair.  what are you going for?

    Cool that you were a professional actress! 

    I went to pick up my wedding dress right after I had the keratin express treatment, so my hair was professionally straightened, and I decided I wanted to keep my hair curly after trying on the dress with straight hair.  I am planning to wear it all down or partially pulled back.  I'm nervous because the only time I've ever been truly pleased with how someone styled my hair was when I went to Devachan in NYC when I lived there--often I end up with triangle head or something approaching dreads when I ask to leave my hair curly after a cut.

    That's awesome that you've booked! I''ve booked hair, too...decided I'm going to do my own makeup though. I'd rather sink that money into product rather than a makeup artist.

    Chrispygal-a girl I went to hair school with works there! They do a great job. My mom is also a hairstylist so she'll be doing my hair, she'd kill me if I let any of my coworkers do it! I may help out with my bridesmaids to save some time.
