New to Knot boards - need some ideas!

Hello fellow Westchester/Hudson Valley brides! This is my first post to the Knot message boards so I hope you ladies can help me.

I have 2 questions that I could really use some expertise on currently...

1. My fiance and I are doing our engagement photos next week and since it's winter, I'm having a hard time thinking of indoor locations we could use in case the weather is cold or snowy outside. Do you have any suggestions of places in the Westchester area? I'm hoping we can still take them outside but I want to be prepared in case of bad weather.

2. Do you have any suggestions for Rehearsal dinner locations in or near Yonkers? We're hoping to keep it reasonably priced and we will probably have about 30-40 people.

Thank you ladies! I hope I can help you all out the future as well!

    Hello!

For indoor pics, you should look at the Hyatt in Greenwich- I went to a wedding there a few years ago and the entire lobby is a beautiful atrium with flowers and water.

For your RD, take a look at Pas-Tina's on Central Avenue.  Two of my friends had their RDs there.  The food is great and they have a small private room that could more than accommodate (sp??) 30-40 people.  I would have chose that for mine, but my church is in New Rochelle so it would be a little out of the way!

Congrats on your engagement and welcome to the Hudson Valley board!

RE - pictures - outdoor would be lovely! If the day you originally want the weather is really bad, see if you can resched your e-pics with your photog.

RE - rehearsal dinner - I've been to Pas-Tina's and the food is really good. Or what about Harvest on the Hudson? Not sure about other places in lower Westchester.

    hi!
i'm not sure about indoor pics... unless maybe you can go down to the city and take some pics inside some of the places there?  it may be cool to do some pictures in the museam of natural history or in grand central?
For rehearsal dinner- Sunset Cove is awesome! it's in Tarrytown.
Or you can try Graziella's in White Plains which has a private room and good food.  Pastina's is also really yummy.  Or Arnesto's in White Plains on Post Road is really yummy too and very good priced.

Pas-Tina's is a great idea, I'll definitely look into that place! Thanks dmonty and terriandjoe! It's so funny, I've lived in Westchester my whole life and when it comes down to thinking of places, I went blank! It must be wedding planning overload lol.

chrisnjay - Thanks for the warm welcome! I love your picture. It looks like you guys had great weather for your wedding day!

cusi229 - I love Sunset Cove. I'll check into how the work larger parties. Good idea! I've never been to either of your suggestions in White Plains but I'll look into those as well. As for going to NYC for pictures, I thought of that but I don't know comfortable I would feel taking pictures with tons of people walking around and staring lol.

You ladies are a great help!  My next step for the wedding planning process is shopping for a dress (I'm excited but not excited at the same time - I hope I find something I love!). I look forward to sharing tidbits and great ideas over the next 8 months of wedding planning =)
