BM dresses

I love my Mori Lee dress and I'm glad the BMs all found a dress they all like and was a good price point.  But I'm not happy about Mori Lee giving a ship date during a week when they were closed.  When the orders were placed in early Feb, Mori gave a ship date of 5/28 which meant that was the latest date they would ship and the shop would have the dresses within 5 business days of that date. Called the shop and the owner called me back right away.  Well apparently ML was closed for a week due to the holiday and are running late now.  New ship date?  6/8. 

Karen at All That Shimmers is being great about it and will help me with getting my CA BM's dress overnighted to her but I'm NOT happy that not only was Mori closed for a week, but they are also now saying they are BEHIND.  Granted, worse case scenario for the BM dresses to arrive at the latest is the 15th, and the shop owner said another dress ML told her wouldn't ship until Monday actually arrived yesterday, but that only gives the girls 2-3 weeks for alterations.  Is that doable?  I'm trying to not freak out here...

    Just got a follow-up call from Karen at All That Shimmers.  Apparently because I sounded really nervous, she called ML again to see if they had any more info on the BM dresses.  The dresses arrived at their facility today and has been invoiced and will be shipped out to the local shop tomorrow morning.  Karen has the tracking # for it and should have it on Wednesday.  That's somewhat of a relief.

    I'm glad it's all working out.  Lame of ML though.  My BMs ordered their dresses after yours, but we got them several weeks ago!  Wtf?  Mine were Dessy though.

    Enlightened - yes most the ML dresses were between $120-180 which was the range I was aiming for.  There are other brands that are in that range as well.

    Jenny - from what I've heard Dessy is a bit faster wtih the BM dresses than some other manufacturers, so that doesn't really surprise me.

    Wow.. i've been trying to call karen for a week now, left messages and everything and she hasn't called me back. i'm getting really annoyed. my dresses were supposed to be in last week....

    Hmm...try to call her again.  I had to leave a VM but she called back fairly quickly.

    Glad it's cleared up. FWIW, I has a fitting for a BM's dress on Tuesday and I'm picking it up this Tuesday (so one week). It really doesn't take all that long for a BM dress (typically).

    Sadly, when this dress came in I needed it taken in and now it fits almost perfectly. Cry

    No, no--it needed to be taken in when it got here (several months ago) and now it doesn't--meaning I've gained!

    from my proposed ship date, i will only have three weeks to alter for my dress. Talk about stress!!  Im glad u were able to troubleshoot yours.
