We have a cake tasting on Sunday. That's it. My parents are coming for that, so I'll plan a day with my mom to make a florist appointment then.

I still need to call my DJ and see if he added the ceremony to our contract. I need to reschedule my make up trial for a Saturday because MOH wants to come with me. Annnnd, I guess that's it.

We got our save the date postcards in yesterday!! Overall, I'm pretty pleased with how they turned out. The printing on the back (which was just text) could have been a little crisper, but they'll do.

I spoke with a seamstress last night about the alterations on my gown, and I'm officially on her books for next spring. I've got a call in to a florist who came highly recommended on my local board, and I'll be mailing in the second payment for our venue tomorrow. Oh, and we did some more work on our photobooth wall this past weekend, and I hope to get it mostly done this weekend.

Not related to my wedding, but I'm also going bridesmaid dress shopping on Friday with my best friend (we're each others maids of honor) for her wedding. I'm pretty excited.

I ordered my save the dates yesterday!!!!!!!! So excited! And I also found my cake topper. A minor set back... the shoes i wanted are sold out in my size and i was going to buy them today bc I get paid today

time to look for new ones! I am currently working on finding my girls necklaces and looking for wedding invitions I like.

I almost forgot that I'm going to see our band play at a bar/restaurant on Friday. I'm going with my mom, stepdad and my son (he's 17). I've seen them a couple times before, but none of my family has, so I hope it goes well. When I showed their website to my dad, I explained that they were worth the extra money because they added "class" to the wedding. Then I played a video of them at an outdoor event, and the lead singer's first words were "I'M RICK JAMES, B****!" It was so funny.

Also, I ordered a lace shrug off of Etsy. This has been the most stressful thing for me because it's so hard to match something to the dress that doesn't look out of place and covers my arms properly. And doesn't cost $300.

We bought our wedding rings on Sunday. That's about it. I'm going to look into bridesmaid dresses soon as well as hair and make-up.

I purchased our cake topper (yay!). It's used once but half off so I don't care, lol. Found out my FMIL plans to actually start sewing my dress in December (yay!) so I'm pretty excited about December coming. Started on the design for the glass in the lanterns being carried by the nieces and nephew during the ceremony. BIG YAY: FI and I decided on where we wanted to go for our "mini-moon". That's been a really hard decision because we don't want to spend a ton of money since we'll need to save for a year before taking our honeymoon. This week I'm hoping to schedule an appointment with my hairdresser since I have my veil on order and have my circlet I'm wearing with it. FI and I need to sit down this weekend and choose vows and I need to choose a final reading. I also keep forgetting to send in my contract on the photobooth...darn I need to do that!

I've scheduled an appointment with a florist, she's busy with weddings right now so we'll be meeting with her on October 21 (FI can only do Sundays due to work/school).

I've also called my salon to ask about scheduling a hari/make up trial, and they don't even have June in their system yet (I think it only goes for 6 months in advance), so I'll follow up when I go there for my hair cut in a couple months.

I'm ordering my Save the Dates today, and I have to get on my FI's case to get addresses for his s family so we can send them out.

I've been busy! We ordered our cake which most of you saw on FB! We also ordered the BMs dresses, sash, and shoes. I got my shoes and I'm getting them dyed the color of the BMs dresses (pool). My mom ordered her shoes (and already got her dress). We are also looking into rehearsal dinner sites and plan to have that booked in the next month... mostly because we have a bigger wedding party and most restaurants can't fit us.

Meghan that's very exciting that you got your dress!

You ladies have been very busy.

-We ordered our save the dates.

-My shoes have been bought they just need to come in.

-I'm waiting on our flower lady before I can completely finish the order form.

-I've asked my aunt whether my twin cousins can be flower girls and she said yes.

-I've showed our ladies the possible dresses they might wear, but not all of them have gottten back to me on whether or not they like them. The ones that have like them though.

-Called our cake person to figure out how many flowers they'll need for our cake stand.

-Contacted our flower lady to figure out whether or not she will even sell us seperate flower heads for our cake stand.

(Though she hasn't gotten back to me... We might end up with a different flower person... I really really like her flowers...

)

-We narrowed down our invitation picks to between two invitations, but we're pretty sure we're going with one over the other. I ordered a sample of it to see if we like it as much in person.

- I REALLY REALLY REALLY want to order my dress. (My dad said he'd pay for it, but we're not sure whether that's going to happen. We had the money for the down payment at one point, but we don't have it saved up now... So I'm really hoping he comes through otherwise I'll end up ordering it a little late.)

meghan love the dress!!

Well we booked our cake last weekend. Next I am on to searching for a design for our save the dates since I should have our e-pics probably within the next week or two. We have an appointment with a hotel to talk about a room block tomorrow, so hopefully we will get that booked. Our venue also did linens at an additional charge, so I called to set up an appointment and I guess they dont do them anymore, so I am going to have to look elsewhere. I also need to find BM dresses.

Well I feel like I post this every week, but I'm STILL looking for a hair and makeup artist. Although I did make a list of everyone who got back to me and compared their costs and services, and I think I'm deciding between 2 hair stylists and 2 makeup artists. All of the pictures and reviews are amazing, so it's really hard for me to pick! I do know now that anyone in Philly is crazy expensive and I probably should have gotten married farther out in the suburbs so that I could save money on everything! Hopefully by next Wednesday I'll be posting that I set up some trials!
